PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, April 14 (PNA) -- The Puerto Princesa Subterranian River National Park (PPSRNP), located in sitio Sabang, barangay Sabang, some 81 kilometers north from the city, is being nominated as one of the candidates in the ongoing worldwide search for "New Seven Wonders of Nature". Declared as World Heritage Site by the United Nations Declared as World Heritage Site by the United Nations Environment, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the national park is currently rank 270th in the live ranking among the nominees. more

Tourism players in Palawan to promote air linkages in Malaysia
PUERTO PRINCESA -Tourism stakeholders in this city and Palawan will fly to Malaysia to promote air linkages towards enhancement trade, investment, tourism and cultural exchange between two countries. City Tourism Council (CTC) president Felisa Torres said tourism players from this city and Palawan will travel up to Nov. 5, 2007 to Kota Kinabalu and Kuching in Sarawak, both from Malaysia aimed to expand air linkages between Puerto Princesa-Kota Kinabalu route. PUERTO PRINCESA - Dolphin and whale watching is now one of the tourist attractions in this cleanest and greenest city in the country. PUERTO PRINCESA - The City Tourism Office (CTO) and tourism stakeholders in this island of Palawan will formally launch dolphin watching on Wednesday as one of its tourist attractions. CTO Senior Tourism Operation Officer Melinda Mohamad said as early as 6 a. m. on Oct. 10, tourism players and different sectors in this city will sail at the vicinity of Puerto Princesa's bay, where more than 100 bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) are being sighted. more
